There are a couple of options for determining your ring size.

OPTION #1 – MEASURE ONE OF YOUR OWN RINGS THAT ALREADY FITS AND COMPARE IT WITH THE GUIDE BELOW.  PLEASE NOTE, IMAGES BELOW NOT TO ACTUAL SIZE. PLEASE USE THE PRINTABLE RING SIZE GUIDE - Click Here.

OPTION #2 – MEASURE YOUR FINGER WITH A PIECE OF STRING OR PAPER AND A RULER

Ring size chart

1 – Cut some string or paper about 6 inches long and 1/4 of an inch wide (make sure there is no elastic in the string).

2 – Wrap it around the base of your finger snugly but not pulled tight.

3 – Mark the point of intersection.

4 – Compare the length to guide above using a ruler.  The image below may not be to actual size.  Please use the printable guide - click here.

Note:  If you are between sizes, order the larger size.

What do the numbers in the ring size mean?
These numbers represent the inner circumference of the ring measured in millimeters.

Tips for getting the best measurement:

Measure at the end of the day.  Fingers can shrink or expand depending on temperature so measure when your body is at a normal body temperature. If your knuckle is much larger than the base of your finger then take two separate measurements and choose the size between. You’ll want the ring to fit over the knuckle but not be so loose that it twirls.  Consider which hand the ring will be worn on when purchasing, the right hand in a right-handed person will likely be half a size larger.

HOW DO I FIGURE OUT SOMEONE ELSE’S RING SIZE WHEN BUYING A GIFT?

1. Ask their mother or friend if they know his/her ring finger size.
2. Borrow one of their rings and measure using OPTION 2 above. (Make
sure the ring you borrow is a ring that fits the finger you think they will want to wear it on.)

Note:  The average woman’s ring size is about 6. The average man’s ring size is about 10.  If you are unsure and unable to take the steps above when buying a ring as a gift then buy a middle of the road size for their gender and hopefully, they can wear it on whichever finger it fits on!  When in doubt, always buy the larger ring size, nothing is worse than a ring that’s too small.
